Introduction The Government of Madhya Pradesh introduced the Gaon Ki Beti Yojana to support girl students belonging to rural areas and motivate them to continue higher education after completing Class 12. The state launched this scholarship scheme in 2005 with a clear social objective to reduce the dropout rate among rural girls and help them move towards graduation and professional courses. Many girls living in villages complete their schooling but discontinue education due to financial constraints. To address this issue, the Madhya Pradesh government designed this scheme specifically for girls who pass Class 12 from village schools and enroll in higher education institutions. The Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh acts as the nodal department and oversees the implementation of this scheme across the state. Under this initiative, eligible rural girl students receive annual financial assistance directly in their bank accounts to support their college education. Online Application Form of Gaon Ki Beti Yojana of Madhya Pradesh Government is available on the Official State Scholarship Portal. Benefits The Gaon Ki Beti Scheme offers direct financial support to eligible girl students pursuing graduation courses. The scholarship amount depends on the type of course the student chooses.
