Introduction The Rajasthan Government has taken several policy steps in recent years to strengthen the economic position of poor and vulnerable families, especially those working in the unorganised sector. A large section of urban workers such as daily wage earners, service providers, and informal workers often remain outside the scope of mainstream financial assistance schemes. Keeping this gap in mind, the state government launched the Mukhyamantri Svanidhi Scheme to provide easy and affordable credit support to such families. It is important to clarify that this scheme is not the same as the Central Government’s PM SVANidhi Scheme, which mainly focuses on street vendors. Many workers from the unorganised service sector were unable to benefit from the central scheme due to eligibility limitations. To address this issue, the Rajasthan Government introduced its own Mukhyamantri Svanidhi Yojana, ensuring wider coverage and inclusion. Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries are provided collateral-free loans up to Rs. 50,000/- in 3 phases through nationalised banks, regional rural banks, private sector banks, and scheduled small banks. The objective is not only to offer financial assistance but also to promote self-employment, strengthen small businesses, and improve livelihood security among economically weaker urban families. Online Application of Mukhyamantri Svanidhi Scheme of Rajasthan Government can be filled through the Single Sign On (SSO) Portal.
