<h3>Introduction</h3> <ul> <li>Two schemes of the Tripura government for the benefit of college going girls students are Mukhyamantri Konya Atmonirbhor Yojana in which free scooty will be provided and the other one is "Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana" in which saving bonds will be created in the name of new born girl child.</li> <li>Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana is specifically announced with an objective to empower girl children.</li> <li>Government of Tripura will now desposit a sum of Rs. 50,000/- in the form of Saving Bond in the name of newborn girl child under this scheme.</li> <li>Maturity Period of Saving Bond is when girl child attains the age of 18 years.</li> <li>The approximate amount received by girl child under Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana once the maturity period is over is around Rs. 8 Lakh to Rs. 10 Lakh.</li> <li>Girl Child can use this amount for their higher education or can utilise it for their marriage expenses.</li> <li>Only Below Poverty Line (BPL) families are eligible.</li> </ul> <h3>Benefits</h3> <ul> <li>Savings Bond of Rs. 50,000/- will be created at the time of Girl Child Birth.</li> <li>Maturity Date is when Girl Child Attains age of 18 Years.</li> <li>Approximate Amount of Saving Bond at the time of Maturity is 8 Lakh to 10 Lakh.</li> </ul> <h3>Eligibility</h3> <ul> <li>Women who give birth to a Girl Child.</li> <li>Women should belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) Families.</li> <li>Permanent Resident Women of Tripura are Eligible to Apply.</li> </ul> <h3>Documents</h3> <ul> <li>PRTC Certificate.</li> <li>Aadhaar Card.</li> <li>Mobile Number.</li> <li>Birth Certificate of a Girl Child.</li> <li>BPL Ration Card.</li> </ul> <h3>Process to Apply</h3> <ul> <li>Mukhyamantri Balika Samriddhi Yojana would be implemented through Anganwadi Centres in which ASHA/ ANM Workers will do the registration of eligible women who give birth to a girl child.</li> <li>After registration, a bond of Rs. 50,000/- will be made in the name of girl child which will mature once girl child attains the age of 18 years.</li> </ul> <h3>Contact</h3> <ul> <li>Contact your areas ASHA/ ANM Worker or District Office of Women and Child Development Department.</li> </ul>
