Introduction Rupashree Prakalpa was launched by West Bengal Government on 01-04-2018. The main objective of the scheme is to support the marriage expenses of girls belonging to low income group. Government of West Bengal's Women & Child Development and Social Welfare Department implement this scheme in the State. Each eligible girl beneficiary will recieve marriage assistance of Rs. 25,000/- from government under Rupashree Prakalpa. Marriage Assistance will directly be transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary 5 days before marriage. The age limit for girl beneficiary is 18 years or more and for her groom, the age limit is 21 years or more. Annual income of the family to be less than Rs. 1,50,000/-. Benefits Financial Help will be provided for Marriage expenses of girls from low income groups. Girl Beneficiary will get Financial Assistance of Rs. 25,000/- for her Marriage. Eligibility Girls of age 18 Years or above Permanent Resident or Resident of West Bengal for last 5 Years. Girl's groom's age should be 21 Years or above. Financial Assistance is applicable only for first marriage. Family Annual Income should be less than Rs. 1,50,000/- Documents Any One of the following documents as age proof for Girl Beneficiary and Bridegroom :- PAN Card. Birth Certificate. Class 12th Admit Card. Leaving Certificate of School. Voter Identity Card. Aadhaar Card. Family Income Certificate. Bank Account Details. Any One Document for Proposed Marriage Proof :- Invitation Card of Marriage. Self Declaration. Recent Passport Size Photo of Girl Beneficiary. Process to Apply Application for marriage assistance under this scheme will be submitted not less 30 days and not more than 60 days before marriage date. Collect Rupashree Prakalpa Application Form from BDO Office in Rural Area, SDO Office in Municipal Area and from Commissioner's Office in Corporation Area. Application Form can also be downloaded from Rupashree Prakalpa Official Website. Fill the Application Form, attach all required documents and submit it in the same office. Officials of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare will verify the application form and documents. After final approval, financial assistance of Rs. 25,000/- for marriage under Rupashree Prakalpa will be transferred 5 days before the date of marriage.
